Biography
Venus-Tyané is a founding board member and served as its first Vice President. Venus-Tyané studied vocal performance and musical theater in the US and Germany and has performed in large productions internationally, where she toured throughout Europe and Asia. For 10 years, Venus-Tyane worked with Tucson’s Literacy Connects arts program, using the power of the arts to build students’ literacy skills. Venus-Tyané also served as the musical director for a performing arts school in Germany and has worked in elementary and high schools across Tucson. Venus-Tyané has a deep passion for the arts; she is particularly interested in the way in which people's stories are expressed through their cultures.
