Biography
Tioni Collins is an educator, theatre director, actor, and public speaking coach who has been creating for over 35 years with emergent artists of all ages. Tioni received her MFA in Theatre Directing from the Theatre School at DePaul University. In addition to teaching and lecturing, she was also the Student Programs Specialist for Equity in the Arts for the College of Fine Arts at U of A, where she created an annual celebration and showcase for historically excluded and marginalized students in the Arts called InVisibility's SALON (Student Artist Live Opportunity Night). In Tucson, her most recent projects include Mary Zimmerman's Argonautika for the University of Arizona, Jess Scott's t4t, and Ainur Karim's Chins Up, Shoulder's Back! for Scoundrel and Scamp.
