Biography
Steven brings more than 25 years of experience working with youth, families and educators in a wide range of roles, including teacher, character education specialist, summer camp director, and youth sports coach. As an involved parent, Steven worked his way from a trusted consultant to faculty member at a fast growing Waldorf-inspired charter school in Orange County, CA. He understands the delicate balance between traditional Waldorf values and the modern public school approach to education.

At Desert Sage, Steven supports student life by fostering a school culture rooted in belonging, emotional safety and personal responsibility. With a track record of building engaging experiences for children across both educational and private settings, he understands the importance of whole-child education and a strong collaboration between school and home.  

Steven balances a firm and playful style of leadership committed to helping students navigate challenges, build confidence, and discover a sense of purpose and self-worth. He believes that learning happens best in environments built on trust, consistency and meaningful relationships.
