Biography
Originally from New York City and Cincinnati, Russell has been creating and teaching art for the past 32 years in the Southwest and New England.

Teaching outside of the traditional public school system has given Russell the time to conceive and create more of his own art.  Russell particularly loves printmaking, drawing, creating soft and oil pastel paintings and working with clay both wheel throwing and hand building.  Russell’s believes everyone can express themselves through the arts, regardless of age, background, or skill. Russell enjoys facilitating his students through the processes of the creative arts and hope for them to realize that their voice and risk-taking is the most important component of arts education.
