Making Proud Choices
What is Making Proud Choices?
Making Proud Choices is a teen pregnancy prevention program which uses an evidenced-based curriculum to improve the health and social well-being of youth by reducing the rate of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection among youth, as well as, increasing the awareness of healthy relationships and life skills. The program’s goals are to:
Provide abstinence plus education
Provide correct and reliable information about risk and disease
Build skills to be able to abstain from sex or practice safe sex
Prevent rapid repeat pregnancies
Who will be teaching the program?
The program will be taught be trained staff members from the Pima County Health Department. A Desert Sage High School teacher will be present at all times.

Will there be a public hearing for parents to weigh-in on this curriculum?
