Biography
An engaging book that told stories about the ideal school in Tokyo that combined learning with fun, freedom, and love confirmed April’s love for education. During her career in education, April was recognized as having a gift in leadership, and developing and fostering healthy classroom environments. April was invited to China to share these gifts at a developing school. Not long after her return to the states April married, became a mother, and while pregnant with her second child, had a tragic car accident that left her paralyzed. Determined to find her boys a school that would be gentle and nurturing, with a loving environment, April discovered Waldorf education. Waldorf has not only provided April’s children with an exceptional education, it has helped her to rediscover her own unique qualities. It's for this reason April joined the board and serves as its President.

April loves spending time with family and friends, game nights, traveling, strolls in nature, learning new skills and crafts, cooking, spontaneous adventures, themed parties, goofing around with her children, and supporting people she loves.
